Bouchra blends traditional kelim fabric with contemporary henna patterns and the silk screened image of a Berber woman to create an exotic, one-of-a-kind design.  It’s perfect for lounging on the floor or as a focal point on a bedspread or sofa.

Winter Warmth

Winter Warmth With Our New Moroccan Pom Pom Blankets

The nights are drawing in and there is a distinct nip in the air so what better time to launch our new collection of Moroccan Pom Pom Blankets.

Maud-interiors-Natural-Pom-Pom-Blanket

Perfect for keeping warm on chilly nights, these blankets have been hand woven on traditional looms especially for Maud interiors in a town near Marrakesh in Morocco.  Hand woven using techniques passed down from father to son over generations, these thick woollen blankets were originally designed to keep out the cold in the High Atlas mountains.  They have been given a contemporary twist with the addition of large coloured pom poms at the head and foot of the blanket and look stylish over a duvet or as a throw over a sofa or chair.

The blankets are available in two sizes: 200cm x 300cm, which is suitable for a single bed or throw and 240cm x 300cm for a double bed.  They are available in five colour ways, natural shown above, natural and black shown below, multicolour stripes, natural and black (thin stripes with black pom poms) and natural and grey stripes.  Click here to see the collection.  We have a few blankets available now, the remainder are being hand woven and are due mid October.  To pre-order a blanket email info@maudinteriors.com.
