Our vintage plaid blanket, Afra, is a hand-woven piece created in a village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco for domestic use. Traditionally, women in these remote villages crafted blankets and rugs from whatever materials were available.
Made from cotton, Afra features beautifully imperfect checks in bottle green, sea green, striking red, cream, burgundy, and soft grey. This artisanal weaving will add colour, pattern, and texture to any room. You can drape it over a bed or sofa or use it to create a unique headboard.
Please note that this is a handcrafted vintage blanket, and there are imperfections in the weave, traces of fringing, and some repairs, which add to its charm.
