A contemporary cream and black cushion hand-woven and hand painted in Mali. These creamy white cushions will add texture and pattern in a room. They look good with the Cross cushion in the same fabric.
The technique used to create these contemporary cushions is known as Bogolan, which means “made from mud”. The creamy white fabric has been hand-woven from thin strips of cotton which are stitched together and then hand painted with a cross pattern using mud from the river Niger.
We have a number of cushions in this design but as each piece has been hand painted there will be slight differences in each piece. We think this adds to their charm. Each cushion is backed with slate linen and piped with a black trim.
Size: 50cm x 50cm
Fabric: Front hand-woven, hand painted cotton
Back slate grey linen

Please note we send our cushions without inner pads to keep postage costs down.
