Maud interiors blankets in Condé Nast Traveller
You might not know that in addition to our consumer collection of hand-spun and hand-woven pure wool and Egyptian cotton blankets we regularly develop bespoke blankets for commercial projects, interior designers and boutique hotels like the Artist Residence Bristol. The process differs from one client project to another, sometimes we see a mood board and are given a specification and sometimes it’s more of a collaborative affair and we suggest different colours, designs and sizes.
We never know exactly what the final bedrooms will look like until the property opens but in the case of the Artist Residence Bristol we had an idea of what to expect, as there are four other Artist Residence hotels in the UK and they have a distinctive, laid-back-luxe style. We spotted one of the bedrooms with one of our bespoke, hand-woven, wool blankets in a Condé Nast Traveller feature on “The New British Weekenders To Know About”. We love the eclectic mix of vintage furnishings, bold specially commissioned artwork and interesting textiles in this bedroom. The hotel is located in the St. Paul’s quarter in Bristol in a renovated former boot factory. It’s not open yet but we can’t wait to explore more of the hotel and the city of Bristol when it does.
