Beautiful artisanal weaving bringing colour, pattern and texture to a room

This colourful vintage blanket, Izza, features a checked weave in a medium-weight cotton. Hand-woven in a village in the High Atlas mountains in Morocco, it was created for domestic use. Due to the scarcity of thread in these remote villages, women used whatever materials were available to craft blankets and rugs for their homes.

The Izza blanket showcases a mix of beautifully imperfect checks in lilac, tan, primrose, turquoise, sea green, red, and cream. The artisanal two-tone checks bring colour, pattern, and texture to any room. You can drape it over a bed or sofa, or use it to create a unique headboard.

Please note that this is a handcrafted, vintage checked blanket. It contains imperfections in the weave, repairs that reflect its age, and partial fringing, which we believe add to its charm.
