Hand loomed and hand painted in Mali using traditional techniques
The creamy white un-dyed fabric is hand-woven in thin strips of cotton and hand painted using fermented mud from the river Niger. It’s a traditional technique from Mali, known as Bogolan, meaning “made from mud”.
We have several cushions in this design. Each piece is handmade and unique and there may be irregularities in the weave and the print.
These cream and black Bogolan cushions are backed with French linen in slate, piped with a black trim and have a zip fastening at the base.
