Baulé cloth cushions

Our Baulé cloth cushions are made from a vintage hand-woven cotton wrap.  The cotton was woven in thin strips and joined together by hand by the Baulé people from the Ivory Coast.  The cloth is known as Baulé ikat because some of the thread has been ikat dyed in indigo prior to weaving.

These cushions will add pattern, texture and colour to an interior.  The delicate mix of yellow and indigo stripes works well with the bold orange.  Our cushions are backed in French linen in Seville orange and are available with or without a feather filled inner pad.
