A stylish Tamegroute serving bowl with silver coloured edging in shades of green, characteristic of the Tamegroute pottery in southern Morocco.
Each piece of Tamegroute pottery is unique. It’s handmade using techniques handed down from family to family over generations. The pottery is known for its distinctive, green glaze created with clay from the river Draa, manganese, silicon, cobalt, copper and barley, and a secret ingredient. It’s the combination of the glaze and the firing process which creates the myriad of different colours in each piece, ranging from mustard to earthy brown, rustic green, black and turquoise. No two pieces are alike.
This decorative Tamegroute serving bowl with silver edging can be used for fruit or salad and will create a stylish centrepiece on a dining table. They make unique gifts too. The silver coloured band of metal on the rim and the base works well with the different shades of green.
