Tamegroute Snack Bowl

A stylish Tamegroute snack bowl in a mix of moody greens, from the Tamegroute cooperative of potters in southern Morocco.

Each piece of Tamegroute pottery is unique.  It’s handmade using techniques handed down from family to family over generations.  The pottery is known for its distinctive, green glaze created by using clay from the river Draa, manganese, silicon, cobalt, copper and barley, and a secret ingredient.  It’s the combination of the glaze and the firing process which creates the myriad of different colours in each piece, ranging from mustard to earthy brown, rustic green, black and turquoise.  The colours and patterns in each piece are one of a kind.

This large Tamegroute snack bowl can also be used for fruit or as a serving bowl.  It would make a unique gift too.
