Ghania, an elegant, tall green pottery table lamp with silver and brass detailing has been handcrafted at the Tamegroute pottery in Southern Morocco. It’s a versatile table lamp which looks great in a bedroom or sitting room. It could also be paired with Haya which is the same style and height and similar colouring.
The Tamegroute pottery produces ceramics with a distinctive green glaze, created with clay from the banks of the river Draa, which contains manganese, silicon, cobalt, copper and barley, and a secret ingredient. It’s the combination of the glaze and the firing process which creates the myriad of different colours in each piece, ranging from mustard to earthy brown, rustic green, black and turquoise.
Tamegroute ceramics have a distinctive wabi sabi or perfectly imperfect charm and no two pieces are identical.
This large green ceramic table lamp has been converted from a minaret style candleholder. The fitting is a UK manufactured black bayonet cap holder with a matching black flex and an on off switch on the flex. All our ceramic table lamp bases have been PAT tested in the UK.
