Dalil, our large green ceramic table lamp is a unique piece created by the Tamegroute cooperative in Southern Morocco. It’s a versatile table lamp which looks great in a bedroom or sitting room.

A Ceramic Glaze With A Secret Ingredient

The Tamegroute pottery produces ceramics with a distinctive green glaze, created with clay from the banks of the river Draa, which contains manganese, silicon, cobalt, copper and barley, and a secret ingredient.  It’s the combination of the glaze and the firing process which creates the myriad of different colours in each piece, ranging from mustard to earthy brown, rustic green, black and turquoise.  Dalil features reddish brown and deep green colours.

Wabi Sabi Ceramics

Tamegroute ceramics have a distinctive wabi sabi or perfectly imperfect charm.

This large green ceramic table lamp has been converted from a storage jar.  The fitting is a UK manufactured black bayonet cap holder with a matching black flex and an on off switch on the flex.  All our ceramic table lamp bases have been PAT tested.
