Copper Tea Light Holders
Handcrafted Seed Pod Copper Tea Light Holders
Add a rich golden and orange glow to a room with these organic, fair trade, copper tea light candle holders. Designed in the shape of seed pods these copper tea light holders work well alone or grouped in twos or threes.
The copper is hand beaten using a technique called ‘Matharkaam’ which is the distinguishing feature of Tambat copper craft. Rollover the photos to see the tiny indentations which are made with specially profiled beating hammers. These tiny, uniform, indentations strengthen the tealight and enhance the rich surface by imparting a mirror-like appearance. It is a highly skilled craft, one which has been carried out by the Tambat people since the seventeenth century.
These wonderful, copper tea light holders are produced by INTACH, an NGO, working in collaboration with the copper artisans of Maharastra to revive and preserve the ancient craft by introducing contemporary designs, providing skills development and marketing support. They create a wonderful glow indoors or outdoors. Perfect for an evening barbecue.
The copper tea light holders come in a presentation box complete with tealight and make great gifts.

“I recently purchased some copper seed pod tea light holders for a friend who is crazy about copper. I ordered the tea lights online and they arrived very quickly in time for my friend’s birthday. Unlike other sites where the goods never seem quite as lovely as they look these products did not disappoint. I found the company responsive, helpful and reliable. Maud interiors is now my go-to site for gifts and ideas. Highly recommend the total experience.”

“I recently came across Maud interiors and fell in love with its products. What I loved most was that each item is unique and hand made and in our modern world of mass production I found this so refreshing. Also as the items come from different countries they either evoke memories of places I have visited or entice me to visit. Having lived in Africa I especially appreciate that the products are made by local aritsans and craft workers and are fair-trade. I started with the antique hand embroidered cushions from the Kutch collection. I even rearranged my furniture so that I can see the cushion every time I pass the room. I then purchased the large and small seed-pod copper tea light holders which look great together, they make a lovely pair and the light dances on them which is especially lovely in the winter as it reminds me of the sun. Delivery to Ireland was very prompt, I couldn’t believe it when the items arrived as soon as they did. The only down-side for me is that I now have a wish list!”
