Handcrafted from clay from the River Draa in southern Morocco this small Tamegroute bowl features a khaki, tan, and ochre glaze. It’s ideal as a serving bowl for nuts, dips or snack and looks great mixed with other pieces from our Tamegroute collection.
Handmade using techniques handed down over generations
The distinctive glaze is characteristic of the Tamegroute pottery, a cooperative of seven families in Southern Morocco. It’s created with a mix of manganese, silicon, cobalt, copper, barley, and a secret ingredient. It’s the combination of the glaze and the firing process which creates the myriad of different colours in each piece.
